Who We Are
Jesus Christ, the Son of God and the Son of Man
Jesus was born miraculously of the Virgin Mary (Matthew 1:23; Luke 1:31,35). He lived a sinless life (Hebrews 7:26; I Peter 2:22). He came into the world to save men from the guilt and condemnation of sin (John 3:16), offering His blood as atonement (I Corinthians 15:3; II Corinthians 5:21 ) and making it available to all who exercise faith in him. He resurrected from the dead (Matthew 28:6; Luke 24:39; I Corinthians 15:4). He is exalted to the right hand of God (Acts 1:9, 11; 2:33; Philippians 2:9-11; Hebrews 1-3). His divinity is provided from His titles, His attributes, and His works (John 1:14; Luke 1:26-35; Acts 4:12; Acts 16:31). He is presently seated at the right hand of God the Father, interceding for His redeemed. We also acknowledge Jesus Christ as Lord over all things in Heaven, and in Earth, and under the Earth (John 1:12-14; I Timothy 3:16; Acts 7:37-38; Philippians 2:9-10; Hebrews 7:25).

Pastor Shon Akins Pastor
Shon C. Akins Sr. was born 41 years ago
on June 7th, 1979 to Ronald Hall and Rosemary Akins. Though he was born prematurely at one pound one ounce at Miami Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, Florida, his life was ordained complete from the beginning. You see, he is the seventh of eight children. He was baptized at age six and he preached his first sermon at age seven- a testament again to God’s providential perfection. He went on to graduate from Marathon High School in 1998. While pursuing a degree in culinary arts from Daytona State College, Shon answered the call to ministry by submitting to the ministerial training of Pastor Jeffrey D. Robinson, Sr. And after serving faithfully, he was licensed a minister on August 21, 2011 at Mount Carmel Missionary Baptist Church. For the past 9 years, he has served as Armor Bearer to Pastor Robinson as well as lead steward for Mount Carmel’s Ministerial Alliance as well as being the lead steward of the men’s ministry (M.O.S) Staying true to 1st Timothy 4:15, he graduated from Maranatha Bible College and University with a Masters degree in Divinity. Reverend Akins met his lovely wife in 2014, they later married October 11, 2018. In this union they have a combined 8 children. Pastor Akins was called to Pastor Mt Ararat Missionary Baptist Church November 17, 2018. But the G.O.S.P.E.L Ministry was birthed in Pastor Akins spirit in 2011.
Reverend Akins is a charismatic preacher whom possesses the ability to reach people of all backgrounds. He is also a passionate believer in service, fasting and prayer. To look back over the span of his life is to see the manifestation of Jeremiah 29:11; “For I know the plans I have for you ,” declares the Lord, ”plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future…”
